Call of Duty: Black Ops 7

Treyarch / Raven Software’s 2025 successor. Wall jumping, Campaign Endgame, and Black Ops Royale on the new Avalon map.

Welcome to the Cosmo strategy hub for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Treyarch and Raven Software launched Black Ops 7 on November 14, 2025 — just thirteen months after Black Ops 6, the first time two Black Ops games released in back-to-back years. Currently Season 3 (launched April 2, 2026), with Season 4 expected late May to early June 2026. The headline new mechanic is wall jumping, layered on top of Omnimovement from BO6. Campaign Endgame extends single-player into replayable challenge content. The Avalon Warzone city is the new flagship BR map, and Black Ops Royale (the Blackout-inspired BR mode) launched with Season 2 Reloaded. Set three years after Black Ops 6, the narrative follows Alden Dorne and The Guild as the new central antagonists. Everything below is vanilla, mechanics-only knowledge.

01 · The Combat Loop

Multiplayer + Zombies + Warzone (continued).

  • Three-mode structure Black Ops 7 ships with full Multiplayer, full Zombies, and continues Warzone integration. Each pillar has its own progression and balance.
  • Wall jumping (the new mechanic) Builds on Omnimovement from BO6. Wall jumps off vertical surfaces enable new traversal routes and engagement angles. Map design accounts for verticality.
  • Omnimovement returns Sprint, slide, and dive in any direction — the BO6 system carries over. Wall jump combines with omnidirectional movement for advanced techniques.
  • Currently Season 3 (April 2, 2026) Season 3 launched April 2, 2026. Season 4 expected late May to early June 2026 based on the Season 3 Battle Pass countdown.
  • Cross-progression with Warzone Weapon unlocks, Operative cosmetics, and Battle Pass progress shared between BO7 Multiplayer and Warzone.
  • Game Pass availability Black Ops 7 launched on Xbox Game Pass Day One — second consecutive COD title with Day One Game Pass availability.
  • Operators called “Operatives” BO7 uses the term “Operatives” for playable characters (terminology consistent with the broader BO6 to BO7 continuity).

02 · Wall Jumping Mechanics

The signature new movement layer.

  • Vertical traversal expansion Wall jump off vertical surfaces to gain elevation. Reach map positions inaccessible in BO6. Map design includes wall-jump zones marked by visual cues.
  • Combo with Omnimovement Slide-into-wall-jump, dive-cancel-into-wall-jump. Advanced techniques chain multiple movement options for unpredictable angles.
  • Wall-jump stamina Wall jumping consumes stamina similar to tac-sprint. Multiple consecutive jumps drain reserves; manage stamina across engagements.
  • Firing while wall-jumping Aim and fire mid-wall-jump. Aerial accuracy is reduced but viable for surprise angles.
  • Map-specific wall jump zones Maps designed with intentional wall-jump traversal. Identify these zones during map study; veterans pre-plan rotation paths.
  • Counter-play to wall-jumpers Predict landing zones; pre-aim at common wall-jump exit points. Aerial enemies are vulnerable to focused fire.
  • Practice in Firing Range Firing Range (returned in Season 2 Reloaded) has wall-jump-friendly geometry. Use as the practice ground before competitive matches.

03 · Campaign & Campaign Endgame

Single-player narrative + replayable challenge.

  • Set three years after Black Ops 6 Direct continuation of the BO6 storyline. Some BO6 characters return; Alden Dorne and The Guild are the new central antagonists.
  • Co-Op Campaign Black Ops 7 supports campaign co-op. Play through the story with friends; PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass Essential required for all social features beyond solo.
  • Campaign Endgame mode New post-campaign content. Replayable challenges, leaderboards, and modifier-based difficulty. Extends single-player engagement significantly beyond the linear campaign.
  • Mission variety Stealth infiltration, open-area combat, vehicle sections. Builds on BO6’s sandbox-leaning mission design.
  • Avalon as narrative city Avalon (the new Warzone city) features prominently in the campaign narrative. Multi-mode integration of setting.
  • The Guild antagonist faction Alden Dorne leads The Guild — the central antagonist organization. Ongoing campaign content expands the faction’s lore.
  • Campaign Endgame leaderboards Score-based leaderboards for Campaign Endgame challenges. Competitive single-player tier; appeals to challenge-runners.
