01 · Introduction
Who we are and what this policy covers.
About this Policy
Online America LLC operates the website cosmocheats.com (the “Site”) as a publisher of gaming strategy guides and editorial content. This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors and users of the Site and explains the categories of personal information we may collect, the purposes for which we use that information, and the protections and rights that apply.
By accessing or using cosmocheats.com, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use the Site.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the Site prior to the change taking effect.
02 · Information We Collect
The categories of data we handle.
Information you provide directly
When you interact with cosmocheats.com, you may voluntarily provide us with certain personal information. This includes your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter or contact our support team, the contents of any messages you send through our contact forms, and any other information you choose to share with us.
If you complete a purchase on the Site, billing details such as your name, email address, and payment information are required to process the transaction. Payment card details are handled directly by our third-party payment processors and are not stored on our servers.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, our servers automatically record certain technical information about your visit. This includes your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, the date and time of your visit, and similar diagnostic data. This information is used for security, fraud prevention, server diagnostics, and aggregate analytics. Limited technical information about your browser and connection is also processed by our bot-protection provider, as described in the Bot and Abuse Protection section below.
Information from third parties
We may receive information about you from our analytics providers, payment processors, and advertising partners. This information is used only in connection with the services we provide and is governed by this Privacy Policy and the privacy practices of the relevant third party.
03 · How We Use Your Information
The purposes for which we process personal data.
Purposes of Processing
We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve cosmocheats.com; to deliver any digital content, newsletters, or services you have requested; to respond to your inquiries and provide customer support; to process payments and fulfill orders where applicable; to send service-related communications such as receipts, security notices, and important updates; to monitor and analyze trends, usage, and Site performance; to detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity; and to comply with our legal obligations.
We process personal information on the legal bases of consent (for example, where you have subscribed to our newsletter), contract performance (where we are delivering a product or service you have requested), legal obligation (where required by applicable law), and our legitimate interests in operating a secure, functional website.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. When personal data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted or anonymized.
05 · Bot and Abuse Protection
How we tell real visitors apart from automated abuse.
Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell real visitors apart from automated abuse on sign-in, registration, and password reset. It runs invisibly, so nothing appears on screen. To do this it processes limited technical information about your browser and connection. Cloudflare handles that data as described in the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which forms part of this policy. Turnstile does not use this information to build an advertising profile of you.
Why we use it
Automated abuse against sign-in and account-recovery endpoints is a common threat to any website. Bot protection helps prevent credential-stuffing attempts, spam registrations, and abuse of password-reset flows, protecting both our infrastructure and the accounts of legitimate users.
Legal basis
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining the security and integrity of the Site as the legal basis for this processing. The technical information processed is limited to what is necessary to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic.
06 · Information Sharing
When and with whom we share data.
Our commitment
We do not sell, trade, or rent user personal identification information to others. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
Limited sharing with service providers
We share personal information only with trusted third-party service providers who perform functions on our behalf and are contractually required to protect that information. These include payment processors required to facilitate transactions, hosting and infrastructure providers, bot-protection and security providers, analytics providers, and customer support tools. These service providers may only process your personal information in accordance with our instructions and applicable law, and they are not permitted to use the information for their own purposes.
Legal disclosures
We may disclose personal information when required to do so by law, in response to lawful requests from public authorities, to enforce our terms of service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Online America LLC, our users, or the public.
Business transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections described in this Policy.
07 · Data Security
How we protect your information.
Technical and organizational measures
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include the use of SSL/TLS encryption for data transmitted between your browser and our servers, secure database storage, restricted access controls for personnel, and periodic review of our security practices.
While we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is one-hundred-percent secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to protect the integrity and confidentiality of the personal information in our care.
08 · Your Rights
The rights you have over your personal information.
Rights available to all users
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that inaccurate or incomplete information be corrected, and to request the deletion of your personal information where we have no legitimate reason to continue processing it. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details provided in the Contact Information section below.
GDPR rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation. These include the right of access, the right to rectification, the right to erasure (the “right to be forgotten”), the right to restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object to processing, and the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing.
Where we process your personal information on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your country of residence if you believe our processing of your personal information violates applicable law.
CCPA / CPRA rights (California residents)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; the right to delete personal information we have collected from you; the right to correct inaccurate personal information; the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
As stated above, we do not sell personal information. To exercise your California privacy rights, please contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.
Response times
We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. There is no fee for making a request, although we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on requests that are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
09 · Children’s Privacy
Our policy regarding minors.
Age requirements
Cosmocheats.com is not directed to children under the age of thirteen (13), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under thirteen. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as soon as reasonably possible. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us should contact us using the details below.
10 · International Transfers
How we handle cross-border data flows.
