Delta Force

TiMi’s free-to-play three-mode shooter: Warfare, Operations, Black Hawk Down.

Welcome to the Cosmo strategy hub for Delta Force. TiMi Studio Group’s free-to-play tactical shooter combines three different gameplay experiences in one package: Warfare (Battlefield-style 64-player combined arms), Operations (extraction shooter with persistent loot), and Black Hawk Down (a 16-mission co-op campaign reimagining the 2001 film and the classic Delta Force series). Operators slot into four classes — Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon — with unique abilities that shape both modes. Everything below is vanilla, mechanics-only knowledge — the three modes, the four classes, operators by class, Warfare submodes, Operations tactics, loadout strategy, vehicle combat, movement, the Black Hawk Down campaign, audio and settings, and the pro tips that turn drop-in queues into consistent extractions.

01 · The Three Modes

Three different games, one launcher.

  • Warfare (Havoc Warfare) 64-player combined arms in the Battlefield tradition. Vehicles, infantry, ticket economy, sector or flag-based modes.
  • Operations Extraction shooter with persistent loot. Hazard Operations, Operation Blackout (night), Hot Zone (3v3v3 PvP), and Raid (PvE) all live under the Operations umbrella.
  • Black Hawk Down 16-mission co-op campaign reimagining the 2001 film and the classic Delta Force series. Built on Unreal Engine 5; co-op for up to 4 players.
  • Free-to-play with cosmetics No paywall on operators or weapons. Optional cosmetic microtransactions and seasonal Battle Passes fund the live service.
  • Cross-progression across platforms PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox share progression. Crossplay is toggleable with console-only opt-in available.
  • Story setup: GTI vs Haavk Players are operators of the Global Threat Initiative, a paramilitary organization, in conflict with Haavk, a progressive but questionable international corporation. Seasonal cutscenes advance the story.
  • TiMi Studio Group developer TiMi (Tencent subsidiary) handles development. Frequent seasonal updates; Season 7 launched November 18, 2025.

02 · The Four Operator Classes

Assault, Engineer, Support, Recon — every operator slots into one.

Assault Frontline aggression and breach
  • D-Wolf (Motorized Exoskeleton)
  • Vyron (Air Shell Launcher)
  • Tempest (combat roll)
Bring
Push priority and crowd-control gadgets.
Take
First contact wins and breach plays.

Assault opens fights; the rest of the squad trades the kills.

Engineer Vehicle counter and area control
  • Shepherd (Sonic Drone)
  • Uluru (Loitering Munition)
  • Gizmo (Crawler spiders)
  • Sineva (Grapple gun, shield)
Bring
Anti-vehicle weapons and area-denial gadgets.
Take
Vehicle kills, lockdowns, and defensive setups.

Engineers are critical in Warfare; situational in Operations. Match the operator to the mode.

Support Healing, ammo, revives
  • Stinger (Therapeutic Pistol)
  • Toxik (Smokescreen and Hive-Tech grenades)
Bring
Map awareness and a team-first mindset.
Take
Sustained team fights via healing and resupply; faster revives than other classes.

Support is the most-undervalued role in Delta Force. Reliable Support players make every team better.

Recon Intel, sniping, and stealth flanking
  • Luna (Recon Arrow, Volt Arrow)
  • Raptor (EMP grenades, Wing Cam)
  • Nox (Silent Assault, Whirlwind Disc)
Bring
Long-range patience or stealth approach. Game sense as much as aim.
Take
Picks at distance or unexpected angles, plus map intelligence the team uses to push.

Recon has the highest skill ceiling. A bad Recon contributes nothing; a great Recon shapes the round.

03 · Operators by Class

Twelve-plus operators across the four classes.

OperatorClassSpecialty
D-WolfAssaultMotorized Exoskeleton (speed surge on knockdowns), Triple Blaster sticky grenades

LunaReconRecon Arrow for area intel, Volt Arrow for damage-over-time, Hunter’s Mark trait
RaptorReconEMP grenades, Wing Cam ping/EMP drone, passive enemy footprint reveals
NoxReconSilent Assault stealth, Whirlwind Disc tracking explosive, Tactical Flashbang

04 · Warfare Submodes

Battlefield-style modes with Delta Force flavor.

  • King of the Hill Multi-point conquest. Capture and hold flags; first team to 3,000 resource points wins. The most-played Warfare mode.
  • Attack and Defend Sector-by-sector push. Attackers capture both objectives in a sector to advance; defenders hold the line. Tighter pacing than King of the Hill.
  • Blitz Smaller infantry-only Conquest variant. Three flags; 500 resource points to win. Faster matches without vehicle complexity.
  • Hill of Iron Vehicle-only King of the Hill. Initially available in 2025 for limited windows; rotates into and out of the schedule.
  • Vehicle roster Tanks, helicopters, jets, boats, transports, and drones. The full Battlefield-style combined-arms experience.
  • Player counts vary Most modes run 48-64 players. Player count adjusts to map size and player availability per region.
  • Scorestreaks via call-ins Earn points through combat to spend on call-ins — Guided Missile, Tactical Beacon, supply drops. Battlefield meets Call of Duty pacing.

05 · Operations: Hazard Operations & Hot Zone

The extraction half of the game.

  • Hazard Operations Three-player squads enter a map with their own kit. Loot, complete side missions, fight AI and other squads, and extract via specific extraction points.
  • Operation Blackout Night-time version of Hazard Operations. Reduced visibility favors stealth and night-vision equipment. Higher risk, higher reward.
  • Hot Zone 3v3v3 PvP with preset gear (no kit loss). Quick competitive practice without the gear-risk anxiety; the warm-up for Hazard Operations.
  • Raid (PvE) Multi-stage PvE missions like Operation Serpentine. No gear loss on death; uses stash gear to progress.
  • Safe Box protection A small inventory slot whose contents survive death. Reserve it for high-value items you cannot afford to lose.
  • Gear Tickets on death Dying in Hazard Operations gives Gear Tickets that set you up with base gear next run. Cushions the loss; encourages immediate re-queue.
  • Map roster Zero Dam, Layali Grove, Tide Prison, and seasonal additions. Maps update with seasonal content; Season 6 (War Ablaze) overhauled Layali Grove with forest fire effects.

06 · Loadout & Loot Strategy

Match the kit to the raid you are willing to lose.

  • The Big Three: weapon, ammo, armor Same rule as every extraction shooter. Get these right; everything else is incremental gain.
  • Carry critical medical supplies Bandages, syringes, splints. Dying to bleeding or a leg break in a raid is preventable; medicine is cheap insurance.
  • Ammo type matters Armor penetration varies by round. Match your ammo to the armor you expect the enemy to wear; the wrong ammo turns a kill into a tickle.
  • Safe Box for high-value items Reserve the Safe Box slot for the items you most want to keep. Anything else is fair loot for whoever kills you.
  • Stash management between raids Excess loot fills the stash; sell or craft from it. A tidy stash makes loadout-building fast; a cluttered stash slows you down.
  • Helmet plus face shield for high-stakes More head coverage means more headshot survivability. Trade visibility for survival on serious raids.
  • Insurance on the right kits Insurance returns lost gear that other players did not take. Insure good kits; skip insurance on throwaway runs.

07 · Vehicle Combat

Warfare’s combined-arms identity.

  • Tanks anchor ground engagements Main battle tanks dominate open ground. Anti-tank gadgets and Engineer launchers are the counter; do not face a tank in the open without one.
  • Helicopters: transport and gunship Stinger missiles, locking launchers, and concentrated rifle fire bring them down. Pilots that hover are pilots that die.
  • Jets: high-speed air superiority The most demanding vehicle to fly well. Air-to-air missiles, gun runs, ground strikes. Niche but high-impact.
  • LATVs and transports Light armored vehicles and quad bikes for squad mobility. Crew them; an empty seat is a wasted vehicle.
  • Boats on water maps Situational but high-impact when the map fits. Most teams forget the water flank.
  • Repair from outside Engineers repair friendly vehicles with the repair tool. Time spent repairing is more valuable than time spent solo-fragging in armored matches.
  • Park in cover A vehicle in the open is a vehicle with five anti-tank gadgets pointing at it. Rotate from cover to cover; never idle exposed.

08 · Movement & Combat

Tactical pacing rewards positioning.

  • Sprint over walk on rotations Walk for tight engagements; sprint for rotations. Audio gives away sprint, but the time saved often outweighs it.
  • Sliding and dolphin diving Real movement tech. Use to challenge enemy aim during pushes and to clear corners under fire.
  • Cover discipline Pre-aim corners; do not peek them. Most fights in Delta Force are decided by who had the gun pointed first.
  • Trade kills with squadmates A 1v1 in a 3v3 still loses if no one trades. Push for trades, not solo plays.
  • Disengage from third squads A 3v3 turning into a 3v3v3 is not your fight. Break contact, reset, return on your own timing.
  • Reload behind cover Reload animations are long enough to lose a fight. Pull back, reload, re-engage with a full magazine.
  • Use Operator abilities deliberately Abilities are on cooldown; do not waste them. Each operator’s kit has one defining ability; learn the timing.

09 · Black Hawk Down Campaign

A reimagining of the 2001 film and the classic Delta Force series.

  • 16 missions plus a hidden final The campaign runs 16 missions across seven chapters, with a hidden final mission for completionists.
  • Co-op up to 4 players Play solo, with friends, or via Quick Match for random co-op partners. The campaign is designed around 4-player coordination.
  • Set during the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu The campaign is based on the historical events depicted in the 2001 film and the original Delta Force games. Licensed film footage integrates with gameplay.
  • Indoor and outdoor combat Street fighting, covert night operations, excavations at crash sites. Each chapter has its own tactical character.
  • Limited supplies and no respawns Some missions cap ammo and remove respawns entirely. The campaign is harder than the multiplayer modes by design.
  • Unreal Engine 5 visuals The campaign is the visual showcase of Delta Force. Lighting, destruction, and character models are pushed harder than the multiplayer modes.
  • Separate 28 GB download Black Hawk Down is a separate install on top of the base Delta Force download. Reserve disk space before starting the campaign.

10 · Audio & Settings

Hardware matters; settings matter more.

  • Headphones, not speakers Footstep direction reads in stereo audio. A cheap wired headset beats any speaker setup for survival.
  • Master volume around 50–60 percent Delta Force peaks loud during vehicle combat and explosions. Lower master preserves footstep audibility.
  • Field of view up to 100 Wider FOV reveals more peripheral movement. 100 is the standard upper range; tune to your preference within the slider.
  • Disable motion blur Off in the video menu. Saves clarity at long range; the long-range fights matter more than the cinematic effect.
  • Mouse sensitivity low for Operations Extraction shooters reward precise aim over fast flicks. Lower sensitivity than your usual FPS sweet spot.
  • Crossplay toggle Console-only matches are an option for players who prefer not to face PC inputs. Toggle in the menu before queuing.
  • Verify after every patch TiMi ships seasonal updates that occasionally reset preferences. Five minutes of review prevents one bad raid.

11 · Pro Tips

Compound habits across the seasonal cycle.

  • One mode deep, then expand Warfare and Operations reward different mindsets. Master one before splitting time across both.
  • One operator per role Pick one Assault, one Engineer, one Support, one Recon. Master four operators before flexing across the full roster.
  • Warfare and Operations train differently Warfare teaches positioning and call-ins; Operations teaches patience and survival. The skills overlap less than they look.
  • Watch top streamers TiMi-aligned creators and community streamers post Delta Force daily. Two hours of footage saves twenty hours of trial and error.
  • Safe Box discipline Reserve the slot for the items you absolutely need to keep. Treat it as the lifeboat, not the cargo hold.
  • Take the L on bad raids A bad Hazard Operations run is bad data. A bad night spent chasing the bad data is worse.
  • Stretch your hands Long Operations sessions are mentally and physically demanding. Take breaks; the next raid is easier with rest.
