Naraka: Bladepoint

24 Entertainment / NetEase’s melee-focused battle royale. Wuxia parkour, grappling, and skill-based sword combat.

Welcome to the Cosmo strategy hub for Naraka: Bladepoint. 24 Entertainment (a NetEase subsidiary) launched Naraka: Bladepoint in 2021 and rebuilt the battle royale genre around close-range melee combat, gravity-defying parkour, grappling hooks, and hero abilities. The game went free-to-play in 2024 and has run consistent content cycles since — the most recent additions include Hero Tara Gan (April 29, 2026), Showdown Season 5.0 (March 12, 2026), Zenda Wu and Dual Flintlocks (February 5, 2026), and the announced Rift Traversal tomb-raider mode arriving with the River Runs Red story chapter. Set in a fictional Wuxia world inspired by Chinese mythology, the game blends Souljade modifiers, vertical arena combat, and an ever-expanding hero roster. Everything below is vanilla, mechanics-only knowledge.

01 · The Combat Loop

Melee-first battle royale with grappling and parkour.

  • Melee-focused combat (the genre innovation) Unlike Fortnite, Warzone, or Apex Legends, Naraka’s primary combat is melee. Swords, polearms, and martial arts dominate the engagement model; firearms exist but are secondary.
  • Light, heavy, focus attacks Three primary attack types. Light attacks are fast strikes; heavy attacks are charge-up power swings; focus attacks build for armor-break combos.
  • Counterstrike system Block incoming heavy attacks with parry timing to trigger Counterstrike. Successful counters break enemy armor; the defensive depth that defines high-level play.
  • Grappling hook (the mobility tool) Every hero has a grappling hook that reels them toward surfaces or enemies. Used for traversal, repositioning, and aggressive engagement.
  • Parkour movement Vertical wall-running, ledge-grabbing, and aerial dashes. The map design rewards vertical positioning over horizontal cover.
  • Hero abilities (active + ultimate) Each hero has an active ability and an Ultimate. Cooldown-gated; mana-free; use defines hero playstyle.
  • Souljade modifiers Equippable orbs that modify abilities, stats, and weapon effects. Build crafting layer; specific Souljade combinations define meta builds.

04 · Parkour & Grappling System

Vertical mobility defines map control.

  • Grappling hook (universal) Every hero has a grappling hook. Reel toward walls, ceilings, or enemies. Used for traversal, repositioning, and engagement.
  • Wall-running Sprint at walls to run along them vertically. Combines with grappling for high-ground positioning.
  • Aerial dashes Mid-air dash mechanic for repositioning. Burns stamina; usable for closing distance or escaping.
  • Stamina management Movement abilities cost stamina. Manage stamina between fights; never engage on empty.
  • Ledge grab and climbing Catch ledges automatically; climb up. Map verticality is intentional; many engagements require high-ground positioning.
  • Grappling combat Mid-combat grappling can close distance to enemies. Punish ranged opponents who try to kite; aggressive players engage via grapple constantly.
  • Mantling and roof traversal Move across buildings, towers, and structures. Map control means using verticality; ground-level engagements lose to high-ground positioning.

05 · Game Modes

  • Survival Solo / Duo / Trio The classic battle royale modes. Solo: 1-player teams. Duo: 2-player teams. Trio: 3-player teams. Last player or team standing wins.

  • "Forsaken Force" (recent event Souljade) Event-specific Souljade from the "Suffer No Demon" return event. Elemental damage modifier; collect during the event window only.

10 · Audio & Settings

Combat clarity and parkour responsiveness.

  • Headphones for combat audio Grappling sounds, weapon swings, parry chimes — each cue reveals enemy actions. Stereo headphones reveal directional information.
  • Master volume around 50–60 percent Naraka peaks loud during team fights. Lower volume preserves headroom for ambient cues.
  • Field of view 90–100 Wider FOV reveals aerial combat better. 90 is standard; 100 helps in vertical engagements.
  • Mouse sensitivity tuning Mid-range for hybrid melee/ranged. Different from pure FPS sensitivity; lower than competitive arena shooters.
  • Performance tuning Naraka is GPU-demanding at high settings. Reduce shadows and post-processing for stable framerate in team fights.
  • Custom keybind setup Default WASD + mouse; consider remapping grappling hook to thumb mouse buttons for faster activation.
  • Verify after every patch NetEase ships major patches every 2 weeks. Five minutes of menu review after each patch prevents one bad ranked match.

11 · Pro Tips

Compound habits across the long Naraka arc.

  • One hero deep, then expand Master one hero across 100+ matches. Mechanical depth on one hero beats shallow knowledge of all. Yoto Hime, Justina Gu, and Yueshan are forgiving entries.
  • Watch top streamers NetEase-sponsored streamers and competitive players post matchup guides. Two hours per week of high-rank footage teaches positioning faster than experimentation.
  • Use grappling aggressively New players treat grappling as escape. Veterans use it to close distance and ambush. Practice grapple-engage combos.
  • Build Souljade combos for your hero Different heroes prefer different Souljade types. Yoto Hime + lightning Souljades; Justina Gu + ice Souljades. Specialize.
  • Counterstrike practice (the meta skill) Mastering Counterstrike timing separates ranks. Practice against bots before pushing competitive matches.
  • Showdown for skill grinding 5v5 Showdown rewards mechanical play more than Survival. Use Showdown for skill development before climbing in Trios.
  • Take advantage of Wuxia events Gu Long collaborations and event content drop limited-time cosmetics and Souljades. Engage during event windows for max rewards.
